The Father is glorified when his disciples bear fruit.

Mark 4:1-17 and Matthew 13:22-23 – Parable of the Sower

vs. 23 is talking about reproduction of disciples

Romans 1:1-13,    Galatians 5:16-26 TO be led by the Spirit is to abandon being led by your own mind.

Matthew 7:13-20 – Good fruit vs. bad fruit

“evil” = poneros – Greek Lexicon starts it’s definition with “full of labors, annoyances, hardships pressed and harassed by labors, bringing toils”

We must cease from our own labor.

Matthew 6:19-23 – We are not our own business. Take no thought for your own life

Deny self means totally taking no thought for yourself at all.
