Rom 8: 5-9  No one who is in the flesh can please God.  We owe the flesh nothing.  One cannot be in Christ and still give importance to anything in the world.
Jude v21-23  Do we owe other people?
Eze 3: 17-21  The watchman’s duty.  If we don’t warn those in our world, their blood is on our hand.
1 John
Isa 59: 2-  God cannot see or hear us when we are in sin/iniquity.

Gal 1:11 – 2:1
The “bottom” is me, what I’m doing…repentance is constant.  The preaching of the cross produces repentance.
We always start by praying for help to become better – still looking from the bottom up. We don’t improve as believers, we die.

Confession (homo-logio) – to speak the same thing as God

Jude v16  There are no victims in the body of Christ.
Baptism is your death…our burial
Heb 13: 12-13  Once we “cry”, All flesh is worthless/as grass, then we bear his reproach outside the camp. The doctrine we’ve been delivered into is a threat to every form of thought or way of life.

Faith is the complete abandonment of self.
John 5:14-30  Jesus does nothing of his own volition, but empties self.
We can’t get to the mercy seat without abandoning and emptying self.
“Born again” is the beginning.

John 14: 18-21  The end of sanctification is when we know this – that we are in Christ, and Christ is in us, and He is in the Father.
