Jude v. 1
Matt 13: 53
John 7: 1-5
We are sanctified and preserved only if we are willing. Jesus won’t occupy where we are, when we are still interested in and giving importance to the world.

What did the early martyrs say that is different from what the Christians say today?
Each taught the silliness of the world system, the futility of self improvement.
Discussion about faith / the mind of Christ.
Gal 4: 13 How do we persecute him born after the spirit?  By using our minds, cause and effect.
The only one that’s an heir is Christ in us. We can never justify the use of our minds.

Having a form of godliness but denying his power.
2 Tim 3: 1  How do we deny the power of God?
1 Tim 6:1  We must repent. The cross means the death of human nature.  We deny the power when we lean on our own arm of understanding.
Rev 13: 1; 11-12  The first beast is man. The second beast is a believer living by his own mind.
Phil 3:7  The only way we attain unto the resurrection of the dead is to die; i.e. the cross. Neglecting all things in the past, we must live the cross.
