Luke 16: 13 – 15
2 Tim 3: 1 It’s either faith or no faith.
Ezekiel 8:5 We must dig down to see our true selves…to see the abominations we live by.
When we see the duality of our mind, we can turn and live by faith.

2 Tim 1:1 How do we stimulate the gift within us? We do that by ignoring our mind, our dependence on the world and living by faith alone.
How do we be partakers of the afflictions of the gospel? The only way is to be publicly identified with being a believer, with what we say we believe.
Luke 22: 28 Jesus’s temptation was to “fix” the human race, to fix the world. However that wasn’t his purpose.
Jesus’ hard sayings.
Matt 18: 1-4  Unless we be converted and become as a little child we cannot enter heaven, i.e. we lose the capacity to have concern for self. everybody worships cause and effect. Living as an innocent child isn’t possible apart from God’s daily support and sustenance.

More about joy
Gen 31: 17 – 29 When we are still operating in our mind, we are still using Jacob (the way of the snake)
Gen 32: 24 Jacob’s name changed to Israel; Peniel
John 15: 11 When we return to our mind, we leave joy
It is god-awful frightening to live by faith alone
