Matt 20 Parable of the workers in the vineyard
Luke 15 Parable of the lost son
Luke 18 Parable of the persistent widow
Luke 16 Parable of the shrewd manager
Matt 21 Parable of the 2 sons
In each parable there was a complaint because there was unfairness. We cannot think in terms of the world’s way.

1 Corinthians 4: 1   I know nothing by myself. The difference between those who think and those who “are”. It cannot be understood by the mind.
We are despised when we preach the cross.
Not in word but in power, power that is its own dynamic.
The mind of Christ is emptiness.

Positioning – the world, the wilderness, the mercy seat
Numbers 9:15 – the cloud is doubt, when a believer has more than one option
1 John 2: 12 – 17  Called from the beginning
You can’t decide to not be in the world but rather when nothing in the world holds any attraction and you don’t give it any importance, then you don’t love the world.
The father position reproduces itself.

Letter to Diognetus, from early 2nd century
Difference between Christians and the rest of mankind
Residents behave more like transients, foreigners in their own country, strangers in a foreign country, persecuted, slandered, repay abuse with courtesy. The relation of Christians to the world is the same as the soul to the body.
