Breaking the Sabbath
Num 15: 32-36  Jesus is the Sabbath, he is our Sabbath
1 John 2: 15-16 Love not the world
James 4:4  Are we working in our minds?
Our guide is not what we think about things, it has to line up easily with scripture.

More on death penalty offenses.
Deut 13: 1-5 What other gods do we truly serve?
Matt 6: 22 “mammon” is something we relied on before we believed. We will always put God’s name on what we rely on. Whatever is not of faith is sin.
Hebrews 3: 7 – 4:11  “enter the rest, cease from your labor” That doesn’t mean put God’s name on your labor.

Death Penalty Offenses – they include seemingly minor things like picking up sticks. That is to let us know that if we toil in our mind, we are not living by faith.
If Jesus Christ was the last Adam, then who are you?
Deut 13: 1-5
Lev 18:1 God is warning us not to adopt the statutes of other nations, i.e. the world, including customs.

Witchcraft (as a death penalty offense)
Deut 18: 9 All the death penalty offenses are ways of thinking to us as believers. What is witchcraft? The use of our minds becomes witchcraft.
1 Samuel 15: 1-23  Who are the Amelikites? Amalek is always the spiritual enemy of the true Israel.
We are the Amelikites when we are trying to keep ourselves alive, always trying to usurp the authority of Christ.

Matt 6:22 We break the Sabbath every time we leave the rest and return to the world.
Cannot serve God and mammon.
Matt 6: 31-34 What is the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit?
Num 15: 27 – 36
There shouldn’t be an Old Testament and New Testament, should be one testament.
Heb 3:14

What do the death penalty offenses in the Old Testament mean to us spiritually today?
Ex 21: 12-17
Lev 24: 13 – 14
What does it mean to blaspheme?  to consider lightly; when we put God to the test for the purpose of approving him.
Blasphemy is what we do internally in thought.
1 Kings 21: 1-15 Ahab and Jezebel
Ex 31: 12-17  Violating the sabbath is a death penalty
Heb 3:7 – 19 – 4:11   Jesus is our only life, living by faith alone
Not entering the rest is a death penalty.
