The sin of Achan and going through the veil into the Holy of Holies.
Joshua 22: 17-20  Achan sinned/the accursed thing
Joshua 7: 1-26
1 Cor 10: 1-11 All this happened for our example. We are all judged as one people. All the nations of Israel were defeated in that valley of Achor because of Achan’s trespass.
Heb 10: 1-25

Romans 12  Transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Phil 2: 5-7  Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ.
Phil 4: 8
Brethren = from the same seed
“…think on these things”  Instead of thinking on the world, we think on this. We have to start by emptying our mind.
This is what the seed does, the seed of Christ.

Matt 24:1
Daniel 9: 20-27  Jesus ministry actually began 7 years before his death, 3½ years before his baptism.
2 Thess. 2: 1-4
Gen 3: 1-14
We’ve revealed the man of sin and it is us. It is us, we are the instead-of-Christ, i.e. the anti-christ.  We can’t be fixed, that’s why it’s the renewing of our minds.

The journey
Chosen in Him, complete, forgiven, accepted…
How are we apprehended?  Some are still waiting under the blood to leave Egypt (the world). Some are still at the waters of Mara in bitterness and confusion.  We are on this journey from the world to the mercy seat.  Until we see our mind as deception, we cannot live in the promise.

Romans 12:2  Renewing – conforming to that which was and will be. We are transformed by the renewing of our mind. It’s a journey of our mind, a journey in our soul, not conformed to the world.
Col 1:3-23  Continue in the faith…so there is a possibility of leaving faith.  If we think what we’re doing is good, we can’t repent. Politics is the doctrine of Baalim.
If you think you’ve arrived, you haven’t.  Our minds can’t grasp what it means to live without time, to live outside time.

Looking at the Christian life compared to the Jewish life.
Romans 12  We are on a journey of the soul
Romans 11: 33   v35 destroys the give-to-get precept of the prosperity gospel.
Romans 12: 1-3  We are offering as a sacrifice Christ’s own life and proving his life in us, i.e. putting it to the test.
Col 1: 1-12
Luke 17: 20-21
All are called, i.e. Christ is in all men, but not all are on the journey.
We use the world but don’t abuse it.  If we are benefiting from the world we are abusing it.

Ole reads The Hard Human Heart (harbors a deep yearning to give), Dying to Self, another one that is a description or contrast between human effort and faith, and lastly A Train Wreck in Slow Motion by John Rutledge.
What does faith encompass? We are not being blessed when we get goodies (like a lot of money).

Matt 6 – Deny self is 100% abandonment of self = divorce self
Mark 8:27 – 35
Heb 3: 1- 4:11  Enter into his rest.  Jesus is the sabbath itself. The gospel is only preached to the poor.  Each of us must cease from our own labor.
God wants us at the end…”I press toward the mark of the high calling…”  Of all who left Egypt, only 2 who entered into the promised land were Joshua and Caleb.
