Gal 2: 19-21
2 Cor 5: 10-15  All are dead and the evil one is masquerading as us, to get us to believe we are independent selves. We are the “instead-of-Christ” trying to convince us we are independent selves.
John 3:1  We are not debtors to the flesh because we are dead.
Hebrews 10: 35-39  v38 If we draw back, i.e. if we draw back into self, God has no pleasure in us.
The just shall live by His faith, His faith in us.

“This is the work of God, that you believe on Him who He has sent…”
It’s all or nothing
Numbers 13
What are our giants in the land?
It’s Christ in you AS YOU. You live by faith but it’s a total abandonment of self. Answers come before you even pray. Write down whatever it is.  “I can’t cope with _____.” Now substitute “Christ” for the pronoun “I”.
God demands faith alone. Try to visualize a life of faith alone, without using cause and effect.

“God must do all or all is nothing. He cannot do all until all is expected of him”. – William Law
Matt 3: 1-12 Bring forth fruit necessary for repentance.  How?  By seeing that nothing in the world system satisfies, keeps us going.
Every believer in the 1st century saw their only purpose as reproducing themselves.
Acts 26: 1-18 God’s commission to Paul was to reproduce himself
Isa 40: 1-8 “All flesh is as grass.” We can’t say that until we know it.

Mark 4: 26-29 The wonderment of seeds growing
Mark 4: 13-20 Jesus explains the parable of the sower and the seed.
The mystery of growth still puzzles farmers and others. Living by faith is a position of waiting, just as the farmer waits for the seed to sprout and grow. If there is no waiting, i.e. digging up the seed, we are in danger of causing the seed not to grow in us and stopping the faith process.  We wait on him.
Matt 13: 18-23
Matt 13: 36-39

Do we love God?
Isa 29: 9-16
Eze 33: 30-33
Matt 15: 1-20  We are defiled by what comes out of us
Mark 7: 5-13
To love God is to lose sight of self.

Heb 10: 16-19   Almost no one sees themselves on the mercy seat. The way is finished all the way to the mercy seat, also called the “oracle”. If any speak, let him speak as the oracle, i.e. ending up under the wings of the cherubim, seated on the mercy seat. The journey isn’t finished until we actually arrive. All is dependent on us being apprehended by his finished work/the mercy seat.
1 John 2: 12  The 4 stages.  All lead to the mercy seat.
All the exhortation leads us to that point.  It’s not automatic, it’s a walk of repentance.  Repentance is not sad, it’s joyful because you know you’re drawing closer to Him.
