What is the renewal of the mind?
Romans 12, Romans 11:33
renewing = conforming to that which was, will be and is.  Get rid of duality.
Phil. 2  Being like-minded is not possible.
Gen. 11:6  Tower of Babel.  The purpose of the tower was to make a place above the clouds so they wouldn’t experience the flood again. The mind was changed so they would never be in agreement again.
Abandon yourself completely.

John 14: 19-20  In that day….  He’s not in you to help you, he’s in you to replace you.
Phil. 3:7  Something is keeping that which is in you from being revealed. His death was the death of his mind.  From then on, he did nothing of himself.
Phil. 3: 10-21  He doesn’t subdue all things with any other means but humility.

Being in the world but not of the world.  The last thing to go is the belief that we are an independent self.

Romans 7: 14-17.
We can’t escape the evil one if we mind/give importance to earthly things. Faith is the only thing that overcomes the evil one. If we are aware of self or giving importance to the world, we are not living by faith.
Hundreds of thousands left Egypt, only 2 made it.
