What does the blood mean?
Because of Jesus’ death and resurrection, we are related to God by blood; blood brothers.
Gen 15:7  Three of the animals were laid open so the blood could be seen. Covenants were made between 2 parties, in this case God alone cut the covenant.
Gal 3:6-  If we break one law, we’re guilty of the whole law.
Ends early, battery ran out.

The Basics of our Belief
Mark 8: 34 What does “deny self” mean?  A total denial of your existence, past, present, future. Total and complete abandonment of self, no longer pay attention to self.
John 3: 1-6 Born again
Matt 18: 1-4  Become as a little child, i.e. without self awareness
Matt 22: 36-40 Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, soul, mind and thy neighbor as self. Living in community we can’t fake this.
Mark 11: 25-26 If we forgive, God can forgive us. If not, he cannot forgive us. Forgive from the heart, i.e. protect that person and their right to have done whatever evil they had done to us.
Matt 18: 35 Forgive from the heart.

1 Tim 2: 4
2 Peter 3: 9
The last enemy to be destroyed is human hope, just as the Jebusites are with us to this day. Jebusites represent hope. Human hope is idolatry.
David was first crowned king in Hebron, second crowned king in Judah, third time crowned king in Jerusalem.
First time crowned – we still had our idols.
Second time – when the idols common to all men are destroyed
Third time – when hope is destroyed, i.e. all our idolatry is destroyed

There can be no humility without complete surrender. Accept with gratitude everything good or bad, from friend or enemy, that comes into your life. No more leaning on your own understanding.

Galatians 5: 3-6 To be circumcised can also mean to stop or start doing something.

Humility
Ego negates humility. Without 100% surrender, we miss the mystery of God.
Luke 18: 9-14 The moment we leave the publican and go to the pharisee position, we lose any humility.
Luke 15: 11  The son who wasted his life in riotous living confessed
1 Kings 3:3  We tend to worship false hope. Humility is 100% surrender.
